Thesis Orientation for Diploma/MASSE Students
The Social Studies Education Program under the Faculty of Education held a thesis orientation for SSE students via Zoom, last June 29, 2022. The said event was facilitated by the Program Chair, Dr. J Aleta Villanueva.
The SSE 300 Thesis: Orientation aimed to help the students have a grasp of the thesis writing process and inspire them to begin their thesis formulation earlier. More importantly, the objective of the orientation is to encourage to join the MASSE program after completing the DSSE program.
The orientation also covered guidelines on making a good thesis topic. For one, it must be clearly written within the Social Studies Education field of study. Also a good thesis topic lends itself to short-term research, meaning that the researcher must remind himself/herself to be practical and to make sure that the research is feasible to finish within a year. Lastly, the proposed topic must enable the student to make a distinct contribution to the field of study.
